These things worked intermittently then completely stopped working: the odometer displays all zeros, the fuel and temp gauges do not work, the backlight for the instrument panel doesn't work(i can't see the speedometer or anything at night), the automatic locks do not work, the shifter doesn't work (took cover off and manually reach down inside to release from park), the windshield wipers only work on high settings, the internment speeds do not work, dome lights do not work automatically when opening the doors...any ideas?

For the odometer going to zero and the interior lights dome and door locks inop sounds like a bad body control module.Thats very common on those cars.

Any ideas about all the rest? They all stopped working at the exact time.

Just read your symptoms again the only thing i havent seen the bad bcm is effect the wipers but i have honestly never tried them with every bad body control module.I haven't seen every symptom on a bad body control module they vary from bad one to bad one.I can tell you i have replaced so many i lost count on those cars.

Thanks for the info! Is the BCM reprogrammable or it has to be replaced?

When they fail you cant just reflash them you replace them and they have to be reprogrammed with the correct mileage options etc.I have seen a seller on ebay that repairs them.
