2001 Renault Megane abs module

If i replace the abs module an the pump at the same time from a used car do,s the abs module need to be recripted to the new car or because the pump comes with the used abs module do,s this mean it do,s not need to be recripted to the new car thanks. i done a multimeter test on the abs module on my car on pin 23 for the speedo an it was dead no power from the abs module to the speedo, i also put a new wire from pin 23 on the abs module to pin 23 on the speedo an still no joy, the speedo sensor on the front left wheel is ok an there is on lights on the dash from the abs when the engine is runing but still no speedo, checked all other wires to the ecu an all ok an fuses too.
