I have a 2001 Bonneville with 333,000 miles on it and am about to replace the front struts. If I buy the Monroe Quick struts with the springs and all else assembled for $209.00 each at Advance Auto, will they be aesy to install with little danger as oppossed to changing the strut cartridge only? notapro mike thanks you.

Yes, that would avoid the danger of taking them apart. Just make sure you never remove that center nut. You will need a wheel alignment after

No, I didn't say that. It WILL need a wheel alignment no matter what. No removing the center nut is how the spring doesn't let go.

Thank you both for the help. In your opinion, is it worth spending 400.00 to replace struts on a car with 333,000 miles on it? Still runs excellent.

WOW, now that's another whole subject. That really depends on the condition of the rest of the car and whether it's going to need any other major work in the3 near future.
