2001 Oldsmobile Alero cat 1 earthquakes occurring in car

Hey I got a problem here. Whenever I start driving my car it makes a loud noise that makes my car rumble like it'll break down and then eventually stops. Now the weird part is once the sound occurs the guage for overheating goes all the way down, I can't use my ac because every time I do the sound occurs and doesn't stop until car is off.
