This car is burning engine oil at a rate of about One Lta after a 17 miles trip there and back, thus I am topping up every week by about 1lta. or bottom to top of oil dip stick. Apart from the key button being stuffed up every thing is working fine apart from FR head light which was changed for a manual (diping) head lamp..

A) Do I change engine,
B) Rebuild engine
C) Through engine away
D) Scrap car
e) wait and see what happens next?
F) Any other bright advise?
ZZ Can you check and change big ends while engine is in-place? and then review oil usage? ( Assuming it is not main bearings that have gone? )
