Fuel Filter Location

The fuel filter is inside the gas tank this guide will help you change it out and check out the diagrams below to show you on your car.

Its under the rear seat cushion

How do I remove the hoses without damaging them?
I've loosened the clamps, but hoses are stuck onto filter.

Either you pull it right off or cut the hose if there's slack to reattach or replace the hose-

My car is missing but once you get it stretched out on the highway it hardly does it. We have replaced the spark plugs and put gas treatment in . We are going to replace the fuel filter .trying to find out how much it will cost

It should be around 75.00. Based on where you live it could be different.

Its pretty rare that a fuel filter would do that. To save some money remove it and blow thru it to see if it is restricted. If it was the car would run bad all the time . If its clear I would start checking other things. Computer codes would be a good start

Might not be the fuel filter-to prove it-check the fuel pressure with a gauge before and after the fuel filter

How to replace a fuel fiter on a 96 maxima

The filter should be close to brake master cylinder. Make sure there is no pressure on system before taking any lines loose. Pull fuel pump fuse, start vehicle, let it run till it stalls, try more than once. Even then, be aware of fuel in the lines.

Under hood, driver side, rear engine area, passenger side of master cylinder, mounted on firewall. not very hard to change but they can be a little tricky ;)

ECCS Component Parts Location

FUEL FILTER Located in the rear of the engine compartment, near the brake power booster unit.

Where is the location of fuel filter?

The filter should be part of fuel pump assemble. There should access cover under the rear seat cushion.
Remove the fuel filler cap to release tank pressure.
Relieve the fuel system pressure.
Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Remove the rear seat cushion.
Remove the fuel pump service cover.
Disconnect the electrical connector from the fuel pump.
Disconnect the quick connectors from the fuel pump.
Remove the six mounting screws and the fuel pump module from the tank.
