starts and after about 5 seconds it dies?

I have a 01 Nissan Maxima , If you push the gas it dies quicker and the check engine light is not on. I replaced the Fuel Pump and Filter and the problem is still the same.Wondering what else it could be? I changed the fuel pump and filter and still does the same thing what could it be?

what is the fuel pressure??

does it have good spark???

does the check engine light come on with the key in the on position??

I don't have an adapter to check the fuel pressure that's why I went on and changed the pump, it has a strong spark, and yes the check engine light comes on when it is in the on position but goes off when it cranks. Two weeks ago I had to chage the alternater I don't know if that has anything to do with it....I hope you can help:)

do you have a security light?? if so, does it stay on when it does start??
