When Driving, the Gear is not changing automatically and the Engine revs continue to increase.

The car is a Nissan Bluebird with a CVT gearbox.

The Park (P), Reverse (R), Park (P), Drive (D), Neutral (N) are all working well. Problem arises when shifted to Drive (D) and accelerating. The care move on HIgh revs and does not change gear automatically.

What is the possible cause of this?

The CVT transmission doesn't actually "Change gears" it is more like a consistent RPM range the engine is held in depending on throttle position. I have seen several of these units go bad and require a rebuild for excessive RPM's during acceleration. If the CVT has given trouble codes and the shop has done their due diligence in diagnosing it, then you may be looking at a rebuild.
