Get a second quote from a different work shop, that is way to much.

hah no. i just had my valve cover gasket changed with new spark plugs. the gasket is only like 20$ and spark plugs are like 5-10$ a piece, with about an hour of labor. it only cost me $100 even. just find a good shop
