Where is the muffler on a 2001 Linocoln Town Car?

I was just wondering where the muffler is on a 01 Lincoln Town Car? From what I can see, the exhaust goes from the tip and towards the front of the car with no muffler? I was thinking about putting something like a magaflow, flowmaster, or cherry bomb muffler on just for a project just to see what results I get. I know you all think I am a ricer or what not....I'm just curious. Thanks!
