turns over like it will start but won't

After 6 mo of sitting in driveway i tried to start my 2001 towncar. it turns over like it will start, but won't. the reset button is ok. when i prime it it starts momentarily. what can i do next. Lee

my towncar won't start unless i put starter fluid or gasoline in the throat. the fuel reset button is down already. i drove it in the driveway 6 months ago. i had some coolant problems then.
