hi, i have a 2001 Lincoln navigator. 5.4 intech 32v motor. we recently have had a strange problem occur. we were about to leave a parking lot, and my dad went to shift it out of park into drive, the shifter moved, but it did not make the normal clicking noise for each gear. and just sort of fell down. had no feel at all and would not "grab" any gears. moving it up and down. we could not figure out why it was doing this, vehicle has 155,000+ miles on it. and has been very well maintained. finally after a few minutes it grabbed drive. and we were just barely able to get it back home. and haven't used the vehicle since. any thoughts?
