I only have cold air on passanger side of vehicle.. driver side works both warm and cold.. I replaced the dual climate control valve the aux coolant pump for the v8 model ran the on board diagnostic codes from the climate control inside the car and I received no codes. no matter what temperature I have the car at the passanger side is always cold.. also I noticed that when I pull up to a red light the heat isn't as warm as it should be on the drivers side like theres something blocking coolant from keeping the car warm.

youi may not be getting power to rh panel actuator why you don't have heat as well as no power to auxillary pump in front of rad. this should really be scanned to see if these things work or not. a pro scanner shold be able to do this. being auto temp control doesn't make it real easy to diagnose because it can be a bunch of things.

That's what it seems like it might be to be honest is there any way I can hear that pump run? I know exactly where it is as well could there be a bad wire running to ir?

if you have a test light or volt meter, see if it gets power then feel the hoses on both sides if you can if they are hot then it's working.

Where do I put the test light? Do I put it on the place where the relay for the pump goes?

disconnect at the pum and test the red orange wire if its' getting power then test the blue and green wires if they don't have any power then the etac unit isn't telling it to kick on.the blue and green may have lower voltage. check fuse f101 in aux fuse box underhood ther eis also a relay there those wires are for the solenoid as it may not be working the pump has a red/yellow wire going to it to power it.

only for the a/c and those should be marked in underhood fuse boxes.

is your key on and the heater working? is power coming from fuse. go to pump and work your way back it may be a bad connection in fuse box.

The key was on and the heat as well I think I have a bad wire somewhere any ideas where to search for this wire? I really don't think the electric pump is broke I had it replaced a year ago as well as the dual climate control valve maybe the mechanic pinched a wire when it was replaced.. and since both were replaced it never worked.

then check around the parts that were replaced. it may just be a bad connection.

So im still having issues but i bought a new pump finally and new wire harness is there any way you could tell me what the wires on the harness are for i have a red/yellow, red/orange, black/green, black/yellow, black/blue, black/green... i know that the red/yellow is power for the pump i believe and the black/yellow is i believe a ground for the aux coolant pump.. but as for the black/blue, black/green, and red/orange for the dual climate control valve what do you do.. i tested all the wire with a test light and the only one with a power is the one going to the auxiliary coolant pump and the power is coming from the ground wire which makes no sense to me.. please can you help me out im at a dead end here and lost..

here are two pics one of pump and other of valve solenoid just wire the green and brn wires in as they both go to the control. the pump is obvious but you shold have received instructions with the part when you bought it. unless they are universal.

Does the auxiliary pump run all the time or is it controlled by a temperature sensor powering it on and off? I'm going to attempt to rewire the whole system because I'm only getting power out of the ground wire (black/yellow) that goes to the auxiliary pump.. any suggestions or tips on doing this?

noit goes to a relay so it's partial pump you have auto temp control so don't start doing something as it may screw up your whole system as I said in first reply this should be scanned due to being auto temp control. the pump goes through a relay and is told when to turn on via control and solenoid valve. so don't get crazy with the wiring.

What should i ask for when i call a dealer or shop like what should i say i need scanned? and do you think it could be my climate control unit in my car thats possibly bad? i can wire both parts up and they both work when manually wired up but like i said im only getting the positive connection from the ground wire that goes to the aux coolant pump.

just tell them you have auto temp control and want the unit scanned they will know what to do.. you don't need to go to a dealer for this.
