not really. you need a scope to test it and that is done in the vehicle.

Started out a month ago, check engine light came on. Did a code scan, code was faulty cam pos sensor.
Truck was running great, no miss, no issues, so cleared code and let it go. other day filled up with gas, truck went about 4 miles & started to die, like it was running out of gas. It quit, would not start back. dragged it home, checked fuses & relays, all were good. replaced fuel pump, strainer & filter. Turn on key, fuel pump wont kick on. checked voltage going to pump, shows 12.74 volts. checked fuses and relays again, found the main fuse was blown. replaced it, turn on ignition & it blows out instantly. was told a shorted cam sensor may cause this and prevent the fuel pump from engaging via the ecm

also bench tested the new pump, it works fine, just wont engage when in vehicle. Also checked all grounds to the pump, they show continuity, but cleaned them & re tightened them anyway

Just to add to this one you can test the sensor with a ohms meter out of the car.What code do you have?
