my kia sportage has error code po340. camshaft sensor has been replaced but code still there. lambda sensor and spark plugs have also been replaced. help!!

Have wiring checked for open from CMP to PCM

Thanks for your reply. I am really sorry but please can you explain what CMP and PCM mean. Also forgot to mention that car runs rough at idle and loses power. could this be down to there being a problem with sensor wiring?

Please excuse my ignorance so are you saying that i need to have the wiring checked from the sensor to the main computer in the car? i have been told by my mechanic that the sensor connector has power? could there be a problem further down the wiring?
