Recently, my clutch pedal started sticking to the floor after shifting gears. It shifts gears fine, the pedal just stays down and has to be popped back up with my foot. For a short time prior to this, the pedal would stick and stay partially depressed for a few seconds then pop back up suddenly.
I have checked for leaks. the fluid is not low at all and has remained at the same level. I was wondering if bleeding the line could help? If not, what would the best course of action be to follow. I need the least expensive options available to me. Thank you very much.
(and yes, this is the correct mileage. the car was garaged for 10 years).
I should clarify. I have had the car myself for two years. It has 1465 miles on it when I obtained it from the original owner. I have driven it since with no issues until recently.
What kind of things "binding"? Wiring of some sort or road debris? I have not seen anything out of sorts. But not sure what would I should be looking for that might bind. Would bleeding the line help at all?
Having only 25000 miles on a brand known for 100K+ miles on a car seemed relevant as to determine the car had not been abused or driven excessively. I didn't not know that a slave cylinder could be compromised from sitting.
Again, I appreciate the information.
Thanks
