Kia Rio - Looses power while driving, all lights on dashboard lit, random fault

My Sister has a 2001 Kia Rio 1.5L Auto, 120k miles. Lately it has been shutting down while driving at any speed, any time. The engine looses power, all hydraulic devices loose power, all the lights on the dashboard come on and the car cannot be started for approx 1 minute afterwards (still cranks over). All levels are normal. Battery charged, connections checked and I cant seem to find the problem. I would say fuel system but the car runs normally both warm and cold and will idle. Any ideas?
