2001 Kia Rio emissions problem

i have a 2001 kia rio auto i brought it to the emissions and it failed they said none of the moniters were workin they asked if u had a code cleared lately and i had cleared one for a camshaft senser i installed people said i had to drive it 100 miles to rest the moniters i have put about 300 on it sense i cleared the code please help

Yes this is common. The vehicle's computer self tests all components related to emissions output to detect if the vehicle is outputting more emissions that allowed. Most scan tools will show which monitors have passed and which have not. Here in the western united states we allow one monitor to be incomplete to pass the emission test.
You'll need to drive the vehicle at all speeds (residential, major road speeds and highway speeds) and coasting.
Every time you reset a code (IE reseting the check engine light) or disconnect the battery will reset these monitors. Every vehicle has a different amount of monitors it depends on how many emission components it has but I would guess you have 4-5 monitors at will need to pass before the emission test will pass. As long as the check engine light doesn't come on you should be good. Most retail auto parts suppliers will check the monitors for free, Let me know how it goes, TY
