Code P1693 - MIL circuit malfunction
Code P0101 Mass or Volume Air Flow Circuit

The miles on this vehicle are original miles. This car only had one previous owner who only used it for small trips (within 50 miles) since purchasing the vehicle new. It was purchased privately. My questions to you are: 1) should these types of repairs be done by a certified mechanic?
2) if not, do you offer any youtube tutorials on how to make the repairs myself?
3) what kind of pricing range is acceptable for this type of repair should a visit to a mechanic be deemed necessary?

I truly appreciated your professional tutorial on youtube which is how I found your site. It was easy to follow and very informative. Please respond at your earliest convenience. Thank you.

The problem of repairing this type of fault code is most people resort to trial and error, and replacing random parts. First of all, that adds a lot of new variables, mainly with new sensors. The computer has to learn the characteristics of each new part, and sometimes that procedure doesn't take place when the original problem is still there.

The first code most likely means the check engine light bulb is out.

Code P1693 - MIL circuit malfunction

This code is easy to fix in most cases because the MAF sensor has gone out here is the location so you can swap it out.

Code P0101 Mass or Volume Air Flow Circuit

Check out the images (below). Let us know how it goes
