door lock

You could have a bad remote or the remote could be need to be programed.Some auto parts stores have remote testers on there counter's.I know oriellys has one.

i have tried both remotes and both flash lights 2 times lock 1 times unlock some times dashboard flashes and makes ticking noise until remote small button held in for 4 or 5 seconds

Sounds like the remotes are working do the door locks work with door lock switch?

yes have to push lock button to lock position when getting out to lock door with out using key can lock and unlock doors with key bought car new remote function has never worked taken car to KIA when new they said can not find problem hows that for service.

I would have gone to the kia service manger and made sure he fixed it when it was under warranty.Unfornately i don't have a trouble tree for door locks inop with remote on your car.
