Hi,
Do you have to lift the engineer off the mounts to change the oil pan gasket

Removal

All Vehicles

Remove the generator.
Drain the engine oil.




Disconnect the air conditioning compressor electrical connector.
NOTE: Support the air conditioning compressor using tie straps.




Detach the air conditioning compressor.
Remove the retaining bolts.




Detach the power steering tube bracket.

Vehicles with Automatic Transmission




Detach the bracket for the automatic transmission oil cooler tubes.

All Vehicles

Remove the front crossmember.
Remove the oil pan to transmission housing bolts.




Remove the oil pan. Remove the retaining bolts.

Discard the gasket.
Clean and inspect the oil pan and cylinder block sealing surfaces using Metal surface cleaner or equivalent meeting Jaguar specification WSE-M513392-A.

Installation

All Vehicles

NOTE: Install the oil pan and tighten the bolts within six minutes of applying sealer.

NOTE: Loosely install the oil pan to transmission housing bolts.




Apply an 8 mm dot of silicone gasket and sealant or equivalent meeting Jaguar specification WSE-M4G323-A6 to the sealing surface on the engine block and front cover joint.

Install the oil pan to transmission housing bolts.
Install the front crossmember. For additional information, refer to Front Suspension.

Vehicles with Automatic Transmission




Attach the bracket for the automatic transmission oil cooler tubes.

All Vehicles




Attach the power steering tube bracket.




Attach the air conditioning compressor. Install the retaining bolts.




Connect the air conditioning compressor electrical connector.
Refill the engine with oil.
Install the generator.
