my car turns over when I start it but does fire

it has spark not sure where computer is or how do I go about checking if it is okay. My remote key to start it, doesn't work I brought new batteries but it still wont lock doors automatically can this affect starting the vehicle

Take the remote to autozone they have a remote tester there see if it works.When it cranks and wont start is the security light on solid or flashing?
