hi is replacing a crankshaft sensor a easy job also would that let the ecu know when a spark should spark at each spark plug thanks

CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR (CKP SENSOR)
The crankshaft position sensor, consisted of a magnet and coil, is located next to flywheel The voltage signal from this crankshaft position sensor is relayed to the ECM to indicate engine RPM and the position of the crankshaft.

hyundai coupe 2.0se running ok until it cut out on motorway tried to restart with no look after a quick check found no spark at spark plugs been told could be crankshaft sensor or camshaft not letting it spark as its a common fault with sensor after 100,000 miles

I have never heard of failure of these after 100k.
ok, lets start with basics. compression, fuel pressure and spark.
we know it has no spark so start with a compression test to see if the timing belt is working.
