Hey,
The car shakes when started, so we think it is a misfiring problem with the cylinders
My friend has a honda accord 2001 car V6 3.0L Vulcan engine that we think has a cyllinder one misfiring problem. When she turns on the car, the entire vehicle shakes a little more than it should. When she pushes on the gas peddle the car shakes a lot too. I wanted to double check before I fix anything. Is it a cyllinder problem? The spark plugs were all replaced recently, and I heard that in order to reset the firing sequence for the cylinders you have to take off the timing belt, use a black light, and get it back to position
1. What is the best way to do this? She refuses to take it in to a shop, so she has asked me to repair her car, I was a diesel mechanic for six months, but never worked on this problem before. I have tools, little money, and lots of time. Her firing sequence, according to her manual for the cyllinders is 1-4-2-5-3-6
