2001 Honda Accord v6 replacing front driver wheel bearing

The smartest thing you can do is put it back together right now. this is not a job that you can do yourself. that hub bearing is pressed into the steering knuckle and has to be removed and installed using a press that i'm sure you do not have at home.

I've seen many youtube vids and it doesn't seem hard at all. I just need tools that can extract and press it back on.

I do simple works on my car. (oil change, brake, etc. The usual stuff.) I am doing my 105k+ miles maint on it currently. But my front wheel bearing is also bad.

I have tools to pull it out. But I haven't figured it out how I am going to push it back it.

So, after I got a good rest, this is my first question. It seems both inner race and the outer race are pressed in. Unlike some Accords with 4 spokes which have 4 bolts that holds the bearing assembly. So, which one do I press it in first? I do press it in to the bearing hub first or do I press it in to the arm first (the outer race)?

And my second immediate question is, can I reuse the axle nut or do I have to replace it?

And lastly, is there a diagram of the front driver side wheel assembly?

I now am done taking off the whole wheel arm assembly.

Now I am definitely sure the bearing is pressed in both ways instead of bolted on.

So can anyone answer my question?

1. When installing the bearing, do I press it in to the hub first or the arm?

2. Can I reuse the axle nut?

3. Is there a measured gap between the hub and the arm after installation? The ppl on the internet is saying I should not press in too much AND there should not be too much gap, or the bearing will fail prematurely in both scenario.

It goes into the knuckle first and then the hub is pressed into it while the inner race is supported. It bottoms out. You still have to figure out how you are going to get the small race off the hub after you pull it out. The nut can be reused.

I see now. So after I install it on to the arm or the knuckle, I need to support the rear of the bearing while I push the hub in. Thanks.

Now removing the inner race off of the hub, well I only have 2 choices. 1. Cut it like how everyone else is doing it on Youtube. Or 2. use something that can grip the race without so much pressure on to the hub and wiggle it out. Like the only one guy did in Youtube.

Thanks alot! I think this is all I need to know. It wasn't hard removing the whole wheel assembly off of the car. Reinstalling it doesn't look hard either. Overall I think I got it.
