Suspected ball joint noise

I drive a 2001 Honda accord v6,3.0L.my problem is that each time i enter a pot hole,i hear a kind of tearing sound from the front wheels-both.Can this be what they call ball joint problem and how can i arrest this situation.

It could be the control arm ball joints or stabilizer links. You need a visual inspection and testings with the aid of a pry bar to verify. Look out for sings od broken dusr covers of ball joints.
