The switch rotates to adjust. The easiest way is to adjust from the neutral position and then test it in Park.

With the vehicle in the N (Neutral) position, rotate the switch while the assistant attempts to start the engine.
Following a successful start, turn the engine off.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten the bolts securing the switch to the transmission.

Tighten the bolts to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.) .

Lower the vehicle.
Check the switch for proper operation. The engine must start in the P (Park) or N (Neutral) positions only.
Replace the park/neutral position switch if proper operation can not be achieved.
