I have a 2001 GMC Sonoma 4x4 and have replaced drivers side wheel bearing twice and it is sounding like it is going to start to go bad again, the last time it was replaced was around February or march. My question what could be causing this same problem with the same side?

The most common problem is caused by placing the vehicle's weight on these assemblies before the axle nut is tightened. People will do that to keep the axle from turning while they tighten the nut. Once weight is placed on it without the nut being torqued, she's junk.

Be sure to follow the torque specs that come in the instruction sheet too. It is typical on GMs to find that value as high as 240 foot pounds.
