oil pan gasket

You need to remove the engine to get the sump off.

tell me what i need to here then, more than one question ask... all im getting is the run around on this, i'm a single dad unemployed trying to save some green doin this on my own! if anyone has worked on this problem i want a detailed answer on how and if it's possible THANKS!!!!!!

What more can i say.... the manual says that the engine must be removed to take off the sump, if you want to try and do it your way go for it.

the only thing you can do besides taking the engien out is to drain teh oil, loosen the bolts and then beak the oil pan loose. I'm not sure it has a gasket, your leakmay be the oil pan itself as some did that right around the gasket. then you'll need to disconnect the motor mounts, jack the engine up and turn the engine over to where the pan migh t slide off. NOt sure it will though that's why they say to pull the engine. watch that you don't damage the distributor cap or rotor. and by all means be careful so as to not drop the engine on your hands /arms, or body.
