brake pedal goes to floor

brakes were fine. I was at a drivee thru in drive with foot on brakes, my foot went down hard on pedal when I was trying to get my wallet. something popped & brake pedal went to floor. I had brakes on way home but had to press pedal to floor. inspected and found some brake fluid had leaked out but I cant see where from
