Just happened, been parking here and there all day, got home and it just wont go into park. Shifter feels like it just hits a wall when trying to go into park. Other gears seem to work fine. I have recently noticed that when shifting into park, the display would not indicate that it was in park until i jiggled the shifter. Its an automitic

My first thought was to check the shift interlock mechanism. Do the brake lites work?
With vehicle on level ground, parking brake set, wheels blocked so the vehicle can't move. Helper with foot on the brake. Take the shift linkage loose from tranny, then with lever on the tranny, see if you can move it into park? Just a thought.

Anybody else have any ideas, jump in.

Then something is going on with your shifter or shift cable. I can't tell from here, if it is shift interlock or what? Hopefully, if it is shift interlock problem, there may be a bypass button, that you push, then shift into neutral, maybe then. the vehicle will start and drive normally. With shift interlock, I'd look up the wiring diagram, then from there.
Robert, if you make a new post, more people will see it.
