Checked fuel filter, pump getting fuel both places. Coil pk has spark, #1 plug was cracked, put new plugs in. Jump started, nothing. How can I tell if it is getting gas to the engine? The owner said he had a cracked head gasket & a shop put stop leak stuff in it. #1 plug also had oil on it, noneof the others though.

Get a fuel gauge and hook it into the fuel system. You need to know what the pressure is to rule out a fuel system problem. Let me know what the pressure is then I can help more.

well I went to check pump, unhocked the line from the pump, turned the key on and no fuel. changed pump relay & fuse. so I figured no fuel ment the pump was not working. they bought a new one, full unit, from Advance, put it on. you could finally hear the pump come on when the key was on but still the car wouldn't start. Took the line off before the fuel injectors and no fuel. we undone the line from the pump and before the injectors and blew thru it and it clear. now after a few times of turning the key on we are not hearing the pump turn on again. I'm thinking a problem in the wiring or just a bad new pump. what do you think? thank you!

It is common for the connector that connects to the fuel pump to go bad. It very well could be this connector. It could also be at a different place in the wiring.
I would check this all first, but it could also be a bad fuel pump. I have seen that happen too.
