If I roll the window down on the driver's side I have difficulty getting it to go back up all the way, you have to make several attempts. I don't know if the problem is in the switch, the motor, or if the window is off track. How can I find out which it is, so that I can find out what to repair and how much it will cost me?

Usually that is a sign of a faulty window motor. Usually the driver side window motor goes out first because you use it the most. I have removed suspect window motors and used jumper wires off the battery for voltage and ground, used inline fuse. If the motor reacts the same way, stop and go, stop and go, then the motor is faulty. I haven't looked at the factory wiring for your window motor.

My labor rates show about an hour to replace window motor. Different shops charge different labor rates. I'd say you would be lucky to get it replaced for 200 bucks and that doesn't include the cost of the window motor.

For the driver side window motor, Red wire with black tracer is voltage. Red wire with green tracer is ground. The window motor shows internal circuit breaker, if it gets hot, it will trip, probably won't work till it cools a little.
