My transmission recently went out in my truck. I bought a used transmission that came out of a 2004 Dodge durango 4.7L. It is an Automatic tranny with the overdrive tail shaft, I was told that it would work in my 2001 Dodge ram 1500 3.9L v6 2wd. But once I pulled the old one out I noticed that my old one had a fly wheel on the actual turbo and the new one has a 4 bolt pattern to bolt up a flywheel. Do I need to buy a flywheel that will bolt on this turbo or buy a turbo with a flywheel that will fit in this tranny? Also was i scammed when informed that this tranny is compatible, what do i need to change out to make it work correctly?

I am pretty certain that tranny will not work for your truck. The one you bought should be a 545RFE tranny which is a 5-speed (used for the 4.7 and 5.7). I think you need the 45RFE 4-speed. I am sure they use a different computer and require different inputs from various sensors and equipment. I would take the trans back and get a refund or the proper trans.
