where is and how i can replace the egr valve dodge intrepid 2001?

The EGR valve is on the rear of the right cylinder head. Some EGRs can be tested to see if the valve is stuck. you have to be careful when cleaning them as you can clog up ports. If you do attempt to clean it, always spray the cleaner in the opposite direction of the engine vacuum. Meaning, from the EGR towards the engine intake. You can remove deposits from the vavle area with a toothbrush and brake cleaner. Then wipe the EGR throurougly with a shop type towel, not a paper towel or one that will leave lint.
Check for vacuum leaks especially along the line for the EGR.

Also on the next post window is general emission systems check.
Make sure the EGR "O" ring and gasket are new and not leaking. I think the emissions check will say this, but inspect the condition of the diaphragm.
