Hi, I just removed the rack and pinion in my 2001 4.7L V8 Dodge Dakota, and I'm looking at my steering shaft, the u joint is rusted and if I hold the lower portion of the u joint and have my wife turn the steering wheel, there is still some play.
So the question is, how much is too much play and how can I tell if the steering shaft is good or bad? Thanks
