Poke it in by hand, then install a stack of washers with holes big enough that the serrations under the head don't get stuck. Install a lug nut without a chrome cap backward so the flat side is against the washers. Use that nut to pull the stud in.

Always use a click-type torque wrench when tightening the lug nuts. Most Chrysler front-wheel-drive vehicles call for 95 foot pounds with steel wheels; less for cast wheels. Over-tightening them is the main cause of damaged threads and broken studs.

After the stud is replaced, re-torque them after driving for a few miles and again after about 50 miles.
