hello, i have a 01 grand caravan that has a parasitic battery drain. It varies from .7amps to 2.2amps . I isolated the iod fuse then tested the components on that circuit which led me to the bcm as the cause. when unpluged the draw returns to 34mA. My question is can i be certain that this is the problem? or could there be a load device that the bcm feeds causing the problem?

The BCM is linked to many components and works under varying conditions and it is not easy to detect which of it is causing the problem without any tests.

Unless you have a scan tool to test/monitor various components, the only way is by substituting the BCM. However it must be noted that during initial closing of doors and arming the security system etc, the curent draw might be high for a few seconds.

Ensure the test for the parasitic drain is maintained for at least 30 seconds after test begins.
