how to remove bottom nut on engine mount for ram van 3500 (5.9L)? Doesn't give much access to the nut through the bracket thats part of the frame.

Remove the three bolts that hold the bracket to the engine. Just remember which side the bracket sits on the ears on the engine, in front or in back.

that is the top side of the bracket...how do you remove the bottom nut on the bottom side of the bracket to take it off the frame?

You're right. Sorry. What you're describing sounds like the mounts they used in the early '70s. Later models had a long bolt that went through the lower plate of the mount and through the cross member. The head was toward the front and easy to get to. The nut was welded to the back of the mount's bracket.

You might also have a problem flipping around an open end wrench. From what I remember, you can't even get enough swing from a box wrench to get another bite. This might be a good time to find a ratcheting box wrench.

Can I assume you looked for an access hole under the cross member where you could go up with a socket and extension? The picture in the service manual is not very clear, but it looks like there might be enough room for an air ratchet.
