2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser Brakes

Bleeding the brakes and the pedal feels stiff. Yet it varies from going all the way down to the floor and halfway, cant find a reason why. See no leaks, guaranteed 2nd hand brake master cylinder, tried with engine running and engine off. Please help.

try a power bleeder otherwise a pro will need to hook up scanner to bleed it
