My car is idled too high

I changed rack pinion on my 2001 Chrysler Concorde and now my car is idle to high. I checked all my air lines and plugs to make sure they are hooked up. also i noticed my left side pipe coming from the exhaust manifold is turning red . I changed out my throttle body

None of these other problems was happening before i changed my rack and pinion.
