I have a 2001 Tahoe and I took it to a mechanic and said the lower intake was leaking. They fixed it along with the sending unit since it was easy to replace with the intake off. They also noticed a lifter valve leak. They changed it. Bottom line. It still leaks. Dripping off the starter and also off the oil filter. The flywheel is bone dry. It is not the main seal. I guess it could be the oil pan gasket. What do you think.

Sometimes leaks are hard to find. My buddy had a hard time finding one on a Ford Truck....So we used the "Ole Redneck Method".....1st, with small pump up garden sprayer, we washed it down really good with Purple Power (don't get it on your exterior paint), rinsed it with water well. We dried it the best we could with the air hose, then let it dry a while. He took it on about a 10 mile trip. When he returned, using a Turkey Baster, we blasted FLOUR all over the area (Big-time) in question. Then we stayed back a ways and sorta blew off the Dry Flour with the air hose......We found the source of the leak. Don't do this in your garage...Trust me on that!--The Medic
