The coolant low warning comes on and goes away while I am driving. I have checked the coolant level many times and it is always at the hot level. I have looked for a sensor but cannot find one. The engine was flushed at 125000 miles. There is a build up inside the water reserve but I cannot reach all bolts to remove it.

The coolant level sensor is located on the coolant reservoir, the reservoir may need to be removed in order to access it, these often act up when they get encrusted with residue, and sometimes a good cleaning will restore functionality, there should be two bolts on top and one below that can be reached with a long extension.

Thank You, I will try to remove the reservoir and find the sensor.

I had time today to remove the reservoir but I did not find any sensor. I did clean the reservoir and overflow tube. Will that do the trick or do I still need to find the sensor.

Thank You
