My seville is overheating I have flushed cooling system changed thermostat replaced seals in water pump no coolent in oil or vice versa no leaks are apparent purged cooling system after all work got a tester kit to check for exhaust fumes in coolent wasnt positive for fumes going insane trying to figure it out tends to heat up rather quickly but takes about 7-10 miles to over heat after reaching center line on temp gauge and it raises realy quick as soon as it starts to over heat also changed temp sensor

Flushing the cooling system doesn't accomplish much beyond changing fluid. You may have a bad radiator but you could also have a blown head gasket. They are not always that easy to test or detect. Block testers are not always very accurate.

Hey Wrenchtech, I have used a chemical tester for head gasket/head testing for years with good results, I have noticed that you have said they are inaccurate in other posts, have you had bad experiences with them? Just curious, I tried to PM you but it will not work, dont know if it's a problem with the site.

I have found that little rubber squeeze ball simply doesn't pull enough air to ever sniff any HC. I have seen people use a vacuum pump with them and that seems to improve things a lot but for the average person to take a couple squeezes on the plunger and pronounce the head gasket sound, they usually end up wrong.

if the fans work properly and the radiator has good flow no cold spots.your only driving a short distance.when u open the hood and the coolant jug is vomiting.thats a sign of blown head gasket.gl
