I have lost the power steering on my 525i automatic and the only warning light which has come up on the dashboard is battery and yet the battery is fine.
Hope you can advise.

The power steering pump might have failed. Remove the belt and see if the pulley comes out of the pump. It is a common failure. Cal (619)444-2290 for a good used part
