would the fact that my whole clutch system needs replacing make my audi tt stop making the fuel dumping sound?

i have an audi tt Quattro i took it to a garage and they had it for 5 days and said the whole clutch system needs replacing, but it now doesnt make the fuel dumping sound it did before. I am yet to book it in to have the clutch replaced. Do you think when the clutch is sorted that it will make the sound again?
