We only recommend direct fit parts. However, the tire is going to be higher. The concern is will it rub when turning or hit any of the parts under the vehicle. I would recommend installing one and checking. As far as downsides, the vehicle will not handle as well. The lower profile / wider tire is better for that purpose. One last thought, it may have a small affect on the speedometer. The larger diameter tire will take longer to make a full rotation. Thus, it spins the axle slower.
All of these things add up to why we only recommend what the manufacture recommends. They designed it.
