If the hood release breaks, how else can I open the hood on a volvo s70

Unfortunatly the manufactures don't provide an ALT way. Usually end up removing front grill ect. did handle break or did cable and pulled out handle with couple feet of line?

The cable broke away from the handle

You may be able to cut cable sheath back and grab steel cable with Vise Grips and open

Is the cable sheath inside the car. will I have to remove the dash

Where handle was is where cable sheath attaches to bracket
