Please excuse my limited knowledge. . .The wrapped wires(?)next to where the oil is poured, sometimes moves a bit when the oil cap is removed. I hope this isn't or won't be a problem. The 'tech' at Valvoline instant oil change rammed the pump into the crankcase(?) several times before I was able to say "Wh-oooo". What the hell? At least I didn't accept the oil system cleaner. Doubt that I'll be going back there.

I can't visualize what kind of pump you're referring to or what it was hitting.

Any chance you can post a photo of the wire harness you're looking at?

The pump from the bulk tank of oil at Instant Oil Change (Instead of a gas pump/gas station). This is the pump that rammed into the crankcase. The wire harness/hose(?) that sits right next to where the oil is poured. It's connected to the oil receptacle/crankcase/engine which goes into the crankcase ventilation heating element. Please excuse the lack of a picture.
I found a diagram #G00150451 on Google images, which turns out to be from 2carpros.

The crankcase is the oil pan on the bottom of the engine under the car. Hitting that won't hurt anything. Those are really tough because they can get hit by rocks and debris when you're driving.
