Your suggestion proved generic and useless. I will check the thermostat. radiator, and water pump. And your website does not provide back and forth dialog just a "no reply" email.

If it continues to overheat after you checked the above mentioned components-and tested good and bleed the system, have it block and pressure tested

Since the Fan comes on at proper temperature, it can't be the sensor or the relay, but the engine still steams up, the radiator holds pressure, no leaks.
I think it odd that the plastic reservoir did not overflow when the engine over heated, and I don't think its the radiator cap pressure. I don't know how to test the thermostat without removing it. And I wonder if the water pump and/or the thermostat is likely or rare?
